  • Trying to take in some of the local culture, we paid a visit to this Plantation, & so glad we did. You want to allow 2 to 3 hours her to absorb all the historical displays. Begin at the General store on site for tickets, reasonably priced. You may take a self- guided tour or a guided one. The administrator is so kind and knowledgeable! Several original buildings, houses, barns, all housing original to the period antiques and garden to see. The town thought it necessary to have all the draperies, etc. newly made and are beautiful but not original. So so much to observe, learn, and appreciate. Highly recommended!
  • Well kept plantation that has been nicely preserved with much original furniture.
  • Excellent historical tour. They not only highlight the big house, they also highlight a slave cabin. They recognize that it was slavery that built the plantation.
  • Part of southern history.
