President Wilson offered a vision of the world at peace and a plan for achieving that vision. Nearly a century later, President Wilson’s challenge remains unfulfilled.

The President Woodrow Wilson House gives a special glimpse into the private life of Woodrow Wilson while preserving his important legacy for future generations. After serving as the twenty-eighth President of the United States, where he led the nation through World War I, won the Nobel Peace Prize and created the League of Nations, Woodrow Wilson moved to S Street in 1921 to reflect on his career as educator, president and world statesman.

  • Show up on the hour for the guided tour included in the fee. You can't just arrive and wonder around on your own. Very interesting history.
  • Wilson was a ... problematic president to say the least. But a fascinating snapshot of American history and a fascinating house.
  • Amazing house amazing tour, very detailed The staff is super friendly and helpful. I wish it had access to the garden. Keep it up !
  • We received a group guided tour through the house. The guide was extremely well informed about Woodrow Wilson, his two wives, and of course the house. The house is fully furnished with Woodrow Wilson's actual furniture, and looks just as it was when he lived there after his presidency. We learned so much about this president, his times and accomplishments. The house is beautiful, and as others have said, it is in a beautiful neighborhood.
  • Woodrow Wilson home is such a beautiful hidden jewel in Washington D.C. I live in N. VA and have done almost everything in DC. I wanted to try something different and chose the Woodrow Wilson home. Their website is not the best, but WOW the home and tour is spectacular! The home is 11,000 square feet and 90% of the furniture and artifacts are original. Beautiful paintings, art and decor. The tour is an hour long and includes a short introduction video about Woodrow Wilson. The home takes you back to the 1920s and is just amazing. I would even go again. I will definitely take my next out of town guests here. Parking was great too. I went on a Sunday and parked literally right in front of his home.
  • I like Woodrow Wilson he was a great president:)
