Voted Best Escape Room in DC by Washington City Paper Readers in 2017!

Escape the Oval Office is a 60-minute game that challenges teams to solve a series of clues, riddles, puzzles and trivia that ultimately lead to the key to “escape” the room. It has quickly become a top choice for corporate team-building as well as group outings. In fact, Travel + Leisure says “Escape the Oval Office might be DC’s hottest new attraction” and a recent Boston Globe review calls it “so much fun you might not want out.”

Escape the Classroom is a 30-minute experience designed exclusively for children ages five and up. This game has become a birthday party favorite, ranking among the best party options in the city by KidFriendly DC. It is also a great attraction for field trips and other student groups as the clues were designed by a local educator with Common Core standards in mind.

  • Last week, I did the Escape the Oval Office with my family and we absolutely loved it! From start to finish everything was top-notch! We waited in the chic lounge area with exposed brick and natural lighting until the rest of our group arrived. When they arrived, the staff gave us our instructions and sent us on our way. Once in the Oval Office, which is a great replica of the real thing, we eagerly searched for clues. While we found some clues, the staff called in to give tips on clues we might have missed. Even though we did not get out, we had so much fun during the process. From trying to get out in an hour to coming up short and having the staff come in to let us know what we missed, it was one of the best group activities I've experienced! If you are looking for an exciting and fun activity that's a bit out of the box, this is it! The staff provided excellent customer service and made it very memorable. Just keep in mind when looking for clues not to overlook anything big or small!
  • We had a great time! It was a tough escape, with only seconds to go, but we made it out! I loved the story line and it was nice to go to an independently owned venue. Thanks!
  • My family and I (a group of 8) went to the Escape Lounge before our Easter Dinner last week and we really enjoyed it! While we did not escape, we had a lot of fun trying! We had a couple of teenagers in the group and a preteen and they were really good about finding clues. They paid attention to the very small details, stuff that we adults overlooked. If you are looking for something fun and different to do, I highly recommend. The facilities are really nice and clean and the escape room itself really looks like that special room in the White House! We also really liked the props they have for taking pictures afterwards. The staff is nice and professional and we appreciated the way they called in to give us pointers on what to look for while trying to escape. Be sure to put your thinking caps on for this adventure as you won't be disappointed!!!
  • I took my family to experience The Escape Lounge to have a break from the monuments. It did NOT disappoint. It was a very fun inexpensive all encompassing activity for the entire family. The location was great next to a plethora of restaurants to enjoy. And the staff was fantastic. I would highly recommend this particular escape lounge as a true family fun event.
  • Took a group of seven 10-year-old girls to Escape the Classroom for my daughter’s birthday. The girls really had to work as a team to solve the clues. They only needed minimal input from my husband and me. Took us about 35 minutes to escape. The woman who worked there could have been a little more enthusiastic, but overall, we had a terrific experience!
