  • I'm new to the DC area and always in search of new fun things to do. My boyfriend and I decided to do a date night at Escape the Oval Office. It was super fun! The owner greeted us pleasantly offering beverages and snacks while she explained the rules of the game (this was both of our first time at an escape). Once the game was underway we really had to think outside the box and use our clues strategically! I'm currently trying to get a game setup with my Co workers. Not to mention the decor is beautiful with exposed brick walls and local artwork on display while you wait. All around great establishment.
  • nothing spectacular. A little under-whelming. Game was boring. Mentioned several times during the initial setup of the game to make sure we give them online reviews with good ratings. Any bad reviews should be sent to them directly. Didn't really care until they just send me an email indicating we should give them a 5 star review for $5 off our next game.......motivated me to get off the couch and give them my honest opinion.
  • The oval office room was set up realistic. It was lots of fun! They told my group that we can always comeback since they change the room up every few months. I came back a few weeks later to play the classroom with my little cousins in the age range of 6-10 and they seemed to have a lot of fun with that game as well! The classroom was more linear than the adult game which made sense since they were young kids.
  • This establishment just emailed me and said that if I give them 5 star reviews on various sites (Trip Advisor, Yelp, Facebook & Google) that they'll give me $5 credit (discount) for each 5 star review, and if I give 5 star reviews across all platforms that my next experience will be free. This is blatantly dishonest. So, sadly, I will now rate them poorly until they publicly admit this scheme.
  • We booked Escape the Classroom as a birthday celebration for my 11 year old son. It was FANTASTIC!! The first things that I noticed were the aesthetics. The space is beautiful. I loved the sophisticated and vibrant colors, the exposed brick walls and all the natural light. The waiting area was super comfortable and spacious and we enjoyed playing the Family Feud board game while we waited for all of our guests to arrive. Once we got in the classroom, the energy level ratcheted up. Unlike other other group activities that we've scheduled for my son's birthday in the past, the escape room concept allowed the kids to really interact with each other! It was adorable to see them scrambling around looking for clues and trying out potential solutions. We didn't have to waste time trying to gather kids together in one spot, as we've done at rock climbing and trampoline parks in previous years. Our group of 10 ranged in age from 4 years old to early 40's and everyone found it just the right balance of challenge and fun. I admit that we got stuck a few times and the hostess was kind enough to give us extra hints so that we wouldn't lose momentum, hope, or the kids' attention. Haha! We were able to grab a Groupon deal so the price was a BARGAIN for a highly engaging but easy to contain experience. We were out the door in 30 minutes, just long enough for the kids to create good memories and work up an appetite for lunch. Highly recommend.
