  • This is a fantastic memorial that is missed by just about every DC tourist, which is a shame. It's wonderfully laid out with a huge star shaped water installation and a burning fire in the middle. It's not the largest of the monuments by any stretch, but you can definitely spend quite some time here looking at how well this memorial was designed.
  • The American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial is very new and shares a profound message. "In war there are no unwounded soldiers" is scribed in to one of the glass walls that keep nearby traffic noise to a minimum. Those words alone make this memorial one of my favorites in Washington, DC. For photographers there are plenty of great opportunities with a water feature, an eternal flame and many details to explore. If you're touring Washington, DC near the Air & Space Museum then make the short walk to see one of the nicest memorials the city has to offer.
  • Important memorial that somehow I'd never heard of, nice quiet spot near the Capitol, beautiful design.
  • Thank You America! And Phlash Phelps for letting us know!
  • Looks great, especially at night with the lights and translucent glass display. Very well done memorial.
