  • It is smaller that others and 75% of it refers to the history of USA. Anyway, it is good. In my case I had the entrance together with the Big Bus bonus. If you already saw others I don't know if it's worth the time.

  • It is quite boring and small, the only good thing is when photos can be removed as if it were the President of the United States, but then they charged photos, so between the entrance and the photos, you have to consider spending a little money. Some statues were very good, other not so much, there are actors, athletes, but mainly to show the history of the former Presidents of the United States.

  • Madam Tussauds of Washington was a memorable experience. The wax museum had an exhibit of all American presidents till date, and news and pop celebrities. The attention to detail given to every statue to make it a replica of the actual person was 'mind blowing'. The only concern I had with the museum was - the small documentary being shown about the history of the museum, and the making of wax statues. I was eager to watch the documentary, but the moment I stepped in, I saw that the documentary was inaudible due to music playing in the exhibit area. I feel that the movie should be aired in a more closed spacing so that people can really listen to and enjoy the making of a wax statue.
  • Overall, the museum was a good spot to visit on a cold afternoon. It offered a way to stay inside and get a sneak peek at the Presidents, movie stars and other celebrities. Be sure to order tickets online and you can save 20%! Plus if you are a local (live in MD, VA or DC) you can get the local pricing as well. Overall, takes about 1 hour to get through the museum and you also get a chance to get a picture with former President Obama and Mrs. Obama as well as a chance to sit in the Oval Office and be President. Overall, a good experience and worth visiting!
  • It's a interesting place to visit, the wax figure is really realistic and fun to watch. Helpful tip: the ticket itself is a bit expensive, but if you get one of the big bus ticket. They will have the ticket to the museum and of course you get to ride on the bus without with a tour guide.
  • They look real! Nice pieces of word there! The presidents hall really impressed me and taught us a little of the US history.
  • Surprisingly small museum. The figures are amazing of course, it's a wonderful craftsmanship but I didn't expect it would be such a limited collection, particularly one that focuses so much on the American presidents. I liked it, but I wouldn't go again.

Where to stay in Washington DC

Most visitors to Washington, D.C., end up in the East End, the old downtown district containing most of the city's major cultural attractions. For a more authentic Washingtonian experience, consider staying at a smaller hotel just a little north or east of this busy area. Neighborhoods outside downtown offer less expensive accommodations and affordable street parking, as well as opportunities to meet more locals and fewer tourists. Alternatively, try a hotel in Georgetown, packed with high-end shops and Colonial architecture.
