It's a mall attached to the Metro which offers some options of stores and a food court. For me it was ideal because it is near the National Mall and offer fast and good food options it was seeking, in addition to giving access to subway line that used to return to the hotel.

Sure there are a few shops here... but it's primarily a metro and train stop. Food trucks outside and business offices. Hardly "a thing to do" in DC.  more »

It's open during construction, the Starbucks is busy in the morning. Metro stop so people are always coming and going. Best part was watching the window cleaners hanging from ropes on the building nex...  more »

Mostly office space on the upper levels; plus a hotel. The "Promenade" level is full of retail shops and numerous fast food eateries. The restaurants are packed during the week; not so much on the weekends. Also, you have access to the Metro. Great place to meet someone for lunch during the week. Clean and we'll maintained. An easy walk to the sites of the Nation's Capital.

Very spacious complex and nice parking lots. Very convenient place for tourists. We had been here to catch D.C. Trails hop on hop off services. Nice place.

Very busy food court. Easy to get to right off the Metro. Lots of affordable food choices and variety. If you're not familiar with the area, it's easy to get turned around. Use Google Maps with the pedestrian setting to help.

Very nice food court, good options. Good parking, but tight, low ceilings, just enough for a mini-van or a Suburban.

L'enfant plaza has the best five guys I have ever been to. A very popular and thriving spot to eat during lunch. Also very clean bathrooms.

Where to stay in Washington DC

Most visitors to Washington, D.C., end up in the East End, the old downtown district containing most of the city's major cultural attractions. For a more authentic Washingtonian experience, consider staying at a smaller hotel just a little north or east of this busy area. Neighborhoods outside downtown offer less expensive accommodations and affordable street parking, as well as opportunities to meet more locals and fewer tourists. Alternatively, try a hotel in Georgetown, packed with high-end shops and Colonial architecture.
