  • 每次来华盛顿,我都不会错过吃螃蟹的机会,这里螃蟹便宜新鲜,有洁癖的人不要来,不喜欢吃海鲜的请绕道而行,朋友不要错过吃海鲜的好机会。
  • We heard from our friends about this market. We decided to try to get some fresh crabs. We took a cab there and asked for the cab driver to wait for us, since it seems to really hard to get a cab in t...  read more »
  • Characteristic fish market (small is put in an unfortunate location) but interesting. Obviously fish is the area for which lobster and crab (crab). Medium to high prices, packed fast fast food

  • While I enjoy the SW market in general, I have found Captain White's staff does not care how long people wait in line nor do the managers who are supposed to be supervising. It is utter chaos. There are several men just standing around not working. Nor is there any sense of team work among the few that do seem to be working. On Monday we waited 45 minutes to have our order taken. Then we waited another 30+ minutes to have the crabs steamed, to wait AGAIN for the steaming to be done. No one helps the ONE man doing the steaming. It wasnt until a very helpful lady got loud and righteously upset about the wait anything was done-just that one time. The manager did not stick around nor did she care about the wait. The line simply filled up AGAIN. We are going to try a new crab seller at the Waterfront next time.
  • I absolutely love this place. The shopping and dining experience is a seafood lovers fantasy park. I drive 1 hour each way just to purchase fresh seafood and always meet DC tourists from around the world who had to stop and see what this legendary seafood market has to offer. There is any and every kind of fresh whole fish, crustacean, raw or cooked ready for your enjoyment. Blue crab, king crab, snow crab, craw fish, shrimp heads on and off, to many fish to name, clams, oysters, mussels, squid, cuddle fish, octopus large and small just to name a few options. If you are hungry before you leave you can set up a lawn chair or have a picnic at your car after a visit to one of the retailerretailers offering cooked foods like hot dogs, burgers, subs, fried seafood platters, steamed crabs, shrimp, corn, chicken, shucked oysters and clams, and ice cold drinks. You have to try the strawberry lemonade. Be prepared for crouds, lines and shortage of parking this is a very popular place.
  • Great place to pick up fresh seafood. I especially like goig the to pick up live oysters and blue crab. They have a much larger selection than I anticipated of fresh fish, crab, lobster, oysters, and other shellfish. Of you can't find it here, you can't find it in DC
  • 25 minutes to get a lobster roll and crab sandwich. Guys in front of us still not served when we left. NO seats at all in the area, not full just NO seats, all stand up. Lobster roll for$19 so bad threw it away after one bite. Filthy and stinky like something rotten. I like dives and still recommend: Avoid this.
  • I came here to get some seafood for lunch after walking around the National Mall. It's about a 10 minute walk from the Washington Memorial. They have many stalls where you can purchase cooked or raw seafood. It's all very fresh and you can even get to sample it before you buy. I liked the large blue point oysters, the cooked blue crabs, and the cooked crayfish. It was all amazingly fresh and decent prices. I'll definitely return if I'm back in DC.
