  • My favorite memorial! foundation made of white granite from Mount Airy, North Carolina; base is dark granite from Larvik, Norway. Inlaid in the base are about 2,700 silver rivets depicting the stars & planets, as well as their relative size and position at noon the day the memorial was dedicated! Make sure to climb on Albert's lap and rub his nose to get smarter!
  • A memorial to one of the greatest scientific mind of our century. You can sit with Einstein and get a selfie with him. For Science!
  • An excellent homage to a man most dear to hearts of many.
  • The Albert Einstein Memorial is one of those landmarks that only DC locals would stumble upon. It's not exactly in DC's guide books and it's not a memorial to make a trip to DC for, but if you're going to the Lincoln Memorial, walk a few blocks to the Einstein Memorial. It's a giant statue of Einstein sitting on stairs reading a book. Two things are cool about it: 1) You can climb into his lap for a photo opp without getting in trouble, and 2) If you stand in the center of the circle facing Einstein, your voice sounds awesome. Enjoy it!
  • Probably the only monument in DC you won't get arrested for climbing. *i do not endorse climbing Einstein, nor do I guarantee you won't get arrested*
