  • Really enjoyed the easy access trail from the parking lot to Rimrock Overlook. The stone stairs with the tunnel at the top of the overlook is a lot of fun for the kids....and those young at heart. We ...  more »
  • Easy walk to overview. If you choose there are trails through the woods. Usually not very busy and there are picnic tables if you wish.
  • We took a ride up to Rimrock to check it out and loved it. You can spend some time exploring the area and taking in natures beauty. I would love to head there again.

  • Rimrock affords a lovely view out over the valley and the Kinzua Reservoir. You'll get the best views in the morning or very early afternoon when the sun is at your back (or at least not in your eyes), but it's more than worth the trip in the afternoon, if you're in the area. There's also a nice short hike (1.3 mi, one-way) down to Kinzua Beach if you want to visit the overlook and make a day of it. Be aware that the stairs leading down to the base of the overlook are quite steep and rather narrow, and that if it's a busy day, you may have to wait for others to pass if you want to head up or down. There is an alternate route to the base of the overlook, but it requires that you go around.
  • Beautiful views with unique steps and walkways. Restrooms and a bunch of picnic tables with charcoal grills is a nice touch. Plenty of parking here too.
  • Natural beauty everywhere you look. And the immense rocks from the ice age....make it a unique place to visit. One we never get tired of.
  • Awesome place to visit, make sure you wear your walking shoes. They have recently added a walking trail from the rocks down to the kinzu beach. Very beautiful scenery.
  • Good hike interesting tunnel stairways and great view of the Allegheny River a short way into the trail. Lots of stairs and hilly hiking well worth the trip. Also is a beach near there and can be hiked to.
