  • This is a great place to stop, right off the highway. Short walk to the falls. Beautiful swimming hole. The walk was much easier than some of the other falls we stopped at in VT. There are areas...  more »
  • This was a great spot to sight see as well as have some fun. There are multiple water slides and jumps. It is steep thought, so get ready.  more »
  • Loved our stop. Absolutely beautiful. Short walk to the falls. Have to navigate the end of the walk a bit but so worth it. Can jump from many spots and there is a fun natural water slide. So pretty!  more »

  • This location has, bar none, the finest swimming holes in Vermont! It shows, with the large crowds that it attracts, but considering, people are always friendly and considerate there, and don't leave their trash behind. There are places to jump into the water that are anywhere from 10-30 feet! I highly recommend going there on a weekday!
  • Although the water levels are low because it is fall it is a beautiful place to relax and be with nature. Some friends were swimming in the deep pools and in the very shallow ones baby fish were swimming in the crystal clear water. Visit throughout the year.
  • Easy parking off Rt 100 and well marked trails to bpth the river and falls. You can get as close as you are comfortable and relax as the water moves along. There are some nice pools to cool off in.
  • If you have small kids, I would advise avoiding war and falls in the Mad River Valley. There are much better swimming holes in terms of parking, accessibility, and safety. I was really annoyed at myself that I spent so much time and energy trying to get my toddler and 8 year old to swim at this swimming hole. I had a much better time at the swimming hole just north Warren on Route 100. I hope this helps you save some frustration for your for your family.
  • Gorgeous place. My favorite swimming hole so far...The cliff jumps were super fun! Highly recommended
