We celebrated our granddaughter birthday by going to Kah-Nee-Ta Hot Springs Pool. Had great fun playing with the kiddo's in the pool and challenging them to take on the two slides. Only one of the gra... read more »
Stayed in one of the teepees right outside the main pool. Was such a kid friendly fun experience. Kids can run and play in a huge grass area all day/night. The teepee sleeps 10 but we easily fit 12. T... read more »
Great place to hold events such as birthday parties, parties, or other social gatherings. Alot of people to meet.
We had a great time. It was a beautiful change of scenery. The room a/c barely works and they could have used a 3rd lifeguard at the top of the slides to keep things safe.
After reading several negative reviews, I was hesitant to come here. But my wife insisted. Most of the negative reviews center around the condition of the rooms. We requested a refurbished room, which was nicely done. The amenities are enough to keep you entertained for a few days. - Kayaking : The river has a few class 1 rapids. Easy but there are submerged rocks you can get hung up on. The kids that guided us knew the river. - Horseback riding: My wife told me that she had a great ride. I'll take her word. Our massages were enjoyable, the staff is friendly, the pools are a big hit with the kids and the meals relatively good. Yes, the cassino is a bit of a drive. So what? Not drinking results in a better outcome at the black jack table. I would not dismiss this place due to the negative reviews.
We have stayed here many times over the past years, it has been an tradition of some sorts because my son likes the pool. I personally miss the casino at the lodge but I am not a big gambler. The area is just relaxing to us, we even take a trip to Smith rock for some hiking and a trip to Baldy's BBQ in Redmond. The lodge is well kept and all the employees are helpfull. Our reservation was wrong, we asked for an two nights stay when we called in but when we arrived they had us down for only one night. They first said we would have to move the next day but we ended off staying in the same room, good. The game room where the casino used to be is nice, food is good and ended playing pool with my son, good times. We had the cesar salad with smoked salmon, it had good flavor especially with salmon and good portion. The room was spacious but the carpet needed some cleaning and maybe an upgrade to the TV and VCR, old school. I have admit the much improved wifi was nice. We will probably return next year, I will have to give the golf course a try.
The staff at the lodge were very nice, and helpful. It is absolutely beautiful. The pools are relaxing. But the staff at the Village pool was rude, and didn't seem to care. I was at the Village and the lady took more than 10 minutes to ring a costumer up from a few ice creams. The staff at the concessions were rude, and handed us our orders incorrectly. When we asked them to fix it, all they did was throw lettuce and onions on top of the mayo packets. Very sloppy and unimpressed. Everything seems quite expensive but there is nothing else closer for food or suppies. Other than that the stay was wonderful and all the pools have been great.
Rooms may be a little dated but it fits the rustic theme. Getting to the rooms was a bit of a trek but the view was amazing. The lobby had a huge fireplace and you could smell the roaring flame outside. The property looks well kept throughout and the pool is nicely heated. There's no place but the hotel restaurants for an hour. The Waterpark was fun and it was free with the stay. The staff were really polite and laid back.
