  • Great piece of history. Besides the beautiful mansion, the grounds are nice for a walk. They also have a small farm with animals and you can take your kids to see them.
  • Piece of Heaven in the earth love with all my heart it's just amazing go there with my kids 😍😍😍😍😘😘😘😘😍😍😍😍
  • Very lovely place for a wedding! Clean and beautiful grounds.
  • House built in 1806, good tour, has model for visually-impaired to braille so they know how the layout goes together when they take the tour. Lots of period antiques.
  • The best historical home I've visited in New England so far. It's the oldest, most authentic, most interesting architecturally -- and they're constantly striving to improve the historical accuracy of the property. I can't wait to go back when they uncover the nation's first indoor toilet. (Really) Or when they install plexiglass to the heaters in the basement which vented into the laundry room. Our docent was the most knowledgeable and gave us a thorough your well worth the money.

Where to stay in Waltham

A small collection of hotels with character are situated on Charles River Walk. The majority of hotel chains cater to the visitors and guests of Brandeis University. Fortunately, many of the town's attractions are located close to the campus, so most lodgings are near the restaurants and historical buildings.
