  • The staff here are friendly and welcoming. The museum itself is quite small, but there's so much to learn about and see. My kids absolutely loved the scavenger hunt the staff gave them. It really got them to take an interest in the descriptions of all the items and what purpose they served. The motion sensor exhibit was quite neat and lent itself to immersing visitors in the "mining experience." My grandpa bought me some vials of gold and silver as well as some ash when I was young. I always treasured these, and now my kids have had the same special experience. They proudly display their vials on their shelf at home and talk about the museum from time to time.
