  • This zoo is so unique. Beautiful natural settings, The owner and staff were very friendly and informative, The animals are wellfed and taken care of. There is so much interaction with the owners and animals, If all animals could be so fortunate. Highly recommend this zoo. We took our grandchildren and they loved it!!!!We have been to the Berlin zoo in Germany, San Francisco zoo and Detroit zoo; and we certainly enjoyed DeYoung Family Zoo.
  • CALL BEFORE YOU GO!! Checked online before we went and the hours showed 10am-6pm... Just drove an hour and a half to find a sorry we are closed sign! How do you explain that to a two year old itching to get out of the car?!? Called and the man that answered said he just changed the hours on the answering machine 😰😰 very disappointed
  • A great experience at the zoo, we've been there twice. They really care for their animals- don't take much stock in the negative reviews. You want your kid to be able to hold a kangaroo? To pet a porcupine? To feed a hippo? See tigers catch raw meat in midair less than 30 feet away from you? This is the place. They do not nickle and dime you here, so if you can, give a donation on top of your entrance fee. The people who run this zoo are salt of the Earth types. TIPS: pack a lunch there are plenty of picnic tables on site to eat & bring a hat if it's a hot day- not much shade & nothing is paved so don't wear flip-flops or good shoes - expect to get your shoes a bit dirty & when they are feeding the tigers, hold your camera or phone out and Bud (one of the owners) will take it and get some amazing shots for you. It's 90 minutes north of Green Bay, 45 minutes from Crivitz.
  • We had such an amazing time at this zoo! I was a little thrown by some of the cages at first until I realized how well cared for all of the animals are. The cat feeding was awesome, the interaction with the hyenas was amazing. By far the best was feeding the hippo Wallace! Our whole family enjoyed holding the baby monkeys & kangaroo. We will make the trip back!
  • These animals should not live in places like this, especially Louie the chimpanzee. Please stop supporting this zoo and encourage them to relocate these animals to an accredited sanctuary to let these animals live out the rest of their lives in happiness.
