  • When we went there was a lot of people but it didn't feel to crowed which was nice. I had a lot of fun with my nephews and sister at this park.  more »
  • There is nothing better than taking my book and Beach chair on a summer day and sitting at Millennium Park. The Lake is shallow, so the water is almost always warm. The bathrooms are very clean. And I...  more »

  • This park is amazing! Given the fact that it's so close to the city of GR, the sheer size of the park blows me away! There are huge expanses of green, grassy hills with trees here and there for picnicking. There are ample picnic tables, grills and trash cans throughout the park. There are large restrooms with indoor plumbing. Aside from the grassy areas, there are volleyball courts and spots to fish along the lake. There is a nice sized sandy beach area for those who would like to take a dip or get some sun. There is a concession area on the beach that serve hot dogs, fries, snacks and soda, etc. as well as another restroom/shower facility. Keep walking a bit further past the beach to the other end of the park and you'll find a "boathouse" that will rent out kayaks, rowboats, paddle boats, paddle boards and canoes for a very good rate. My husband and I rented a paddle boat for an hour for only $10. The lake is big enough that even after 45 min of paddling around, we still could have gone much further. You would not know you were in a man made lake at all. The boathouse provides a life preserver vest for every person riding the boat. I believe you may have up to 4 people at a time, per boat. Walk a little further past the boathouse and you will find walking and/or biking trails that go on and on. A lot of the trails were finished with wooden walkways that made it easy to maneuver our way through the woods. We were on foot so I can't review the biking trails, however we did see several people on bikes. Some of the walking trails are "walking only" which is nice. It allows a nice, peaceful walk without having to worry about getting out of the way for oncoming bikes. I'm sure the bicyclers appreciate it too :) I'm very impressed with this park. I've been visiting for over 10 years now and it seems to just keep getting better. They do a very good job of keeping it clean and I'm so thankful to have a place like this so nearby the city. I highly recommend this place!
  • One of my favorite parks! I take my Son all the time, beach is nice but costs $10 a person-so I bought a season pass. Nice facilities, splash pad, boat and kayak rental, nice covered large gazebos with grills and water spigots, and a very nice playground with lake boardwalk (free access). There are several small ponds with boardwalk dock fishing areas as well. Very near Grand Rapids
  • I feel like every time I have been to the beach here, the sandy shores are freshly raked. The trails are beautiful and plentiful. It's just so nice and peaceful! Kayaking was also fun to do!
  • This place was beautifully designed. We are visiting family and spent half our time at this park. The playground has different equipment for different ages. The "beach" was refreshing on a hot day and the Splashpad was a blast! I wish we had a park this wonderful near us in Georgia.
  • Nice get away in the city. Trails, grills for grilling (we bring our own though), playground equipment, picnic tables, pavilions, restroom building. Located next to golf course. Very quiet for family outings, yoga or meditation. Very clean park.
