  • We were on a family driving adventure heading for Pemaquid light. The kids were starving, we said we would stop at the next place we saw. Like 45 minutes of beautiful countryside later we came over a rise in the middle of a pasture and happened upon this place. Wow. Just wow. Everything we ordered was incredibly delicious, perfectly prepared, the pickles at the table..well we ate them all..sorry they were great!! Dessert was decadent. Locally made beverages, great ambiance, and service! One of the best places to eat in Maine. And we bought amazing snacks for the 3 hour ride home. Best Day Ever ♡
  • Love this place, I grew up in Germany, so it is amazing having this place in Maine
  • Went here on a beautiful fall day. The drive into this remote restaurant was stunning. The German restaurant and store is kinda awesome. Lots of product that you don't normally see. Various pickle samples. We ended up choosing the half sours. So good. The restaurant was fun too. Small room only five tables so we had to wait but it was worth it. Had the bratwurst with Sauerkraut and a reuben both were great. Fun outing.
  • Some of the most decadent food in the most unlikely locations. Worth going for both their breakfast and lunch, two very different menus but packed with rich, delicious western European food. And if you have to wait a bit for a table, their store is chalk full of goodies!
  • Fantastic food and amazing selection, waaaayyy out in the country. Well worth the drive.
