  • We took an early June hike in the state park off route 14 in Gould, up the Michigan River. Very scenic and as it was early in the season, not many others. We had a lovely hike up the Franconia Loop (?...  more »
  • Lots of things to do here: hiking, camping, mountain biking, snow sports, etc. The visitor center is nice and there are lots of birds at the feeders. Didn't see any moose here but it looked great for ...  more »
  • We stumbled upon this while looking for moose. We drove up to the Moose overlook platform, and saw some birds but no moose. There is a very nice nature trail on the other side of the road, with brochu...  more »
  • Warning, Warning! Numerous species of highly aggressive mosquitoes inhabit this park. After spraying with bug repellent every few hours, I still ended up with MANY bites. Aside from that, if you don't have a 4-wheel drive, don't bother trying to hike at this park. It will add many, many miles to every hike because you can't get to the trail heads. This park is not for hikers like us! It's jeeps, ATVs and those with mosquito nets. After looking for the bragged upon 600 moose for two days, we finally left the park and finally saw a moose just outside the park. Also the campground was completely without any trees so there was no shade.
  • What a great state park! Excellent trails, open for year round recreation, & lots of wildlife! It's not too crowded, and offers camp grounds, cabin, and yurt rentals. The Moose Visitor Center hosts several events throughout the year and offers a lot of great information about the park and surrounding area. The scenery and views are amazing! It also has the highest concentration of moose in the state of Colorado. I can't wait to visit again!
  • Not a great place to camp if you want to just relax and hangout. Tons of bugs and mosquitos and constant ATVs speeding by making for lots of dust. Probably great place if you bring atv or dirt bike.
  • Beautiful, amazing, and enchanting place to be, all year round. It has a funny name but everything here is amazing, truly a nice place remember to bring your camera and your family!!
  • Lake Agnes and "the Crags" are exquisitely beautiful. I've come here summer, winter, day or night and found it to be stunningly different every time. The Lake Agnes hike is less than a mile.
