  • This is a fantastic place to spend your weekend! There is plenty of parking, areas to easily offload your kayak our canoe, and a nice covered area to have lunch. My wife and I take our canoe out on the lake from this launch point and have an easy time loading/unloading the canoe and gear. This is a beautiful lake and a great park! Support our beautiful parks!
  • Actually we were at the Little Beaver Dam Reservoir adjacent to Falls Lake. It is really nice for canoes and kayaks, because gasoline motors are not allowed. I hope this fishing is as nice. Today was out first time trying, and it was not a good day for fishing. Too much wind.
  • We love camping here! First off, the sites are nice and big..not stacked on top of each other! Secondly, they're beautiful! I can't say enough about the beauty of this place, especially in the fall! The Rangers and Maintenance keep it spotless and are so courteous and helpful! There really are no negatives for us about Falls Lake. We usually stay in Rolling View, but we've also stayed in Holly Point and they're both just wonderful!
  • My friends and I went camping at Holly Point over the weekend and had a blast. We were able to reserve two tent sites that were next to each other and had great views of the lake. Both sites had fire pits and picnic tables. If you live in the Raleigh-Durham area, I would absolutely recommend visiting the park for a quick, easy weekend getaway.
  • There are many trails around falls lake, with different trail heads located at the various recreational areas. You can hike, fish, swim, picnic, and boat here. Kids can earn a junior ranger patch, check with the visitor center about that. Something for everyone.
