  • I went there years ago. Coming from the West Coast, traveling to Hilo, we abandoned the bare ground (volcanic) near the coast and we briefly reached the highest quotas (on 1,500 m above sea level), began to appear the first trees and the landscape became montano: we almost felt like through the pastures of Switzerland, with cows that grazed, vast meadows and trees. This is the part of the island that lies between the Grand Mauna Kea (in the Centre of the island) and the Kohala volcano. At Waimea we ' discovered ' the Museum Parker and intrigued we went to visit him. A collection of ' memorabilia ' nature more varied, with very special pieces (and quirky). In fact it is a little kitschy, but worth a quick stop for those who appreciate seeing a smattering of curious things,

  • If you haven't been on a ranch fun. Food good house interesting
  • :) Fourth of July Independence Day 2016. Need more access to water to fill up with and bathrooms were clean. Great vendors with a petting zoo and a Hawaiian horse carriage on active display for everyone! Mahalo Parker Ranch.
  • They put on a rodeo/horse racing. It was charming.
  • . Basically Parker married the monarchy and acquired the lands. That's what we learned.
