  • Mauna Kea is the best on the island...a must play for any avid golfer. The layout is fair but challenging enough - hey, you're on vacation! Great views of the ocean. But Mauna Kea is more - it is a tr...  more »
  • There are many great landscape. Is the nicest course sea views in many places, Mauna Kea is visible. Sea beyond setting no. 3 is famous, but even after Hall took place in Seattle. Strongly up and down hills course in Japan (such as the Shishido hills) and similar green undulation is strong and early (9-10 ft) of novice 手kozurimasu. Wide fairways. Lava is less. There are bunkers that sand's lots. Though the biggest hazard is a breeze. It is common to island of Hawaii. It is around maunaranisaus, North, Waikoloa Kings Beach and at Ko Olina, Hawaii on Oahu, but nothing to compare with other good courses. It was also strongly reminiscent of the course came. Fairly uncrowded course for this time of year?, ago he started at duo we are Gaijin and together will initially do not come before the Assembly (7:12), was the start of the third, but that staff is free to talk. We started a little earlier. No one around King golf around less than three hours and 20 minutes. Club rental is expensive, with 6 balls, titlist Aero burner's Club. Lani of the day was the same club was a no ball. Permitting wife 36-hole also went to 6:30, practice, if the early start is possible. 54 holes you could if you wish. Add about 1/3 the price Club rental fees or not is absolutely recommended. We are in day Lani...

  • This and the Mauna Lani South course set the standard for big island courses. The Mauna Kea, when we played there, felt much more relaxed and less busy than other Kohala courses. My wife and I had a 7...  more »

  • Beautiful course but very difficult for a 16 handicapper like me. Staff were helpful and good. Course is great condition but very challenging for average golfer.
  • I would have given it a 1 star but the views are fantastic. The greens are beautiful but very challenging as is the course with a lot of hills. I think the drink cart retires at 2pm. No towels on the golf ball washers which are few and far between. No place to fill up your water bottle so you have to use the plastic ones provided. I got "interrogated" both at the security gate and the at the golf parking lot as to why I was there. The staff in general have attitude. I'm glad I'm not a property owner at the Mauna Kea because for what they must pay for maintenance they aren't getting value. Definitely pricy for what you get, but like my wife says, it keeps the riff-raff like me from coming back.
  • Every hole has a ocean view.Historical course.Major bucket list win.Go!
  • I went here to pick a buddy up and I have to say this was a very nice place.
  • Beautiful but very advanced and pricey.
