  • We needed to get out of the sun for part of the day ad this was a perfect change of pace. Beautiful plantation with a nice tram tour that takes you all around the grounds. Very interesting coconut dem...  more »
  • Great way to see a working plantation. The tram made it easier to see more of this wonderful place. Great place to spend the day walking around and enjoying the flora of this beautiful island.
  • It is a great place to see and is free unless you go on the tram. I am not sure it would be worth it as you can walk everywhere. They have an excellent gift shop as well as a farm market. There is an ...  more »
  • Nice tram ride for $20, they take you around the plantation pointing out crops, and halfway around there was an interesting coconut shelling demonstration. I suggest you sit near the front of the tram. At the back, the guide will be describing the next thing before you get to see the previous thing. This is also where you sign up for a couple of zipline experiences, one tame and one extreme. All in all, the plantation is worth a stop while you are in Maui.
  • The Maui Tropical Plantation was absolutely stunning. The grounds were so well taken care of. They had a great gift shop, full of fun things to take home. Plus, the best part, the ziplining! This is a hands free line and the guides were fun and encouraging. Highly recommended!
  • Great place to walk around no entrance fee. Really nice informative tractor tour of the different plants they grow there: coffee, mango, coconut, papaya, & sugar cane to name a few. Nice shops and great coffee. The produce market has just about everything they grow there for sale. Will definitely be going back here!
  • Originally not in our plans, but stopped on a whim. So glad we did, highlight of the trip so far. The 45 minute tram tour gave us an interesting tour of the plantation and some history of agriculture on the island. The recently opened restaurant is absolutely gorgeous and has a full bar to boot. I highly recommend stopping in.
  • the people there are very helpful. purchased some artwork by r. Lowell. the grounds are amazing. they have a zip line, good for kids and a train tour. the prices for the retail shops are comparable to the other stores. I wouldn't call this a tourist trap. #shopaway.
