  • Hiking through some tree roots, feels like you'r in the jungle, wear sturdy shoes, and have a good time. Kyaking was pretty easy. Don't miss the Fern Grotto. Loved every minute of it. Would definitely do it again!
  • Must go by kayak. Only way to hike up to the Secret Falls. The trail is easy and the foliage and river along the trail is phenomenal. Best kayak and hike combo.
  • A wonderful place to explore the beautiful east side of kauai. You can rent kayaks, canoes, or Sups to easily access the wailua river along its shores. Stay right to avoid the smith steam boat and other motor driven boats. From here the fern grotto is to the left a few miles up at the fork...or bare right to explore the north fork of the wailua river and a chance to find secret falls. This sacred spot is said to be the bathing hole of hawaiian ali'i. You have boat launches on both sides of the river, which also spills out into wailua bay. Don't miss a chance to sail down the river where Indiana Jones took flight from the wild natives in raiders of the lost arc!
  • Nice view. Beautiful waterfall. Dangerous way to get down in the pool under the fall. Rest of the park also nice.
  • It has a great view of the river and waterfall but the road to it is twisting and turning with blind corners and there are farms along that semi trucks pick up cargo from. But it's cool because there are domesticated pigs that aren't scared of people and aren't hostile at all. Main reason for 4 stars is how cramped it is. It's hard to park and maneuver in the there.
