  • This place is open on Sunday and this is the best time to go to the secret falls because it is not crowded. It is located in an ancient village and it is so interesting to see in its self but please b...  read more »
  • The small Hawaiian Village is our knowledge on a private basis and receives no State support. We found the entrance fee of 5.-dollar fine and appropriate. We were 2 A4 pages with information about the homes & the plants that were to visit "self guided tour" for that. We came then but in the short term benefit of individual management and thus, we received many additional information eg about the use of herbs, the distribution of roles in a Hawaiian Village, social life etc., Through the conversation with our guide Ilima Rivera, we learned but also something about the position of the Hawaiians in the today's Hawaii to life between the cultural heritage and modern America. Ilimas dedication and commitment to the Hawaiian Village and the culture of the "old" Hawaiian was very well felt and touched us very. In short: the Hawaiian Village is not "attraction", which throw superlatives around - but who is ready to engage on the quiet sounds, learns undspürt some of the pride of Hawaiians on their history and their culture here quite interesting facts!

  • This was a great place for us to rent kayaks/canoes because it is right on the river and closer to the sacred falls hike and fern grotto since we had our 75 year old mom with us. We didn't take a guided tour so we could spend as much time as we wanted. We had a blast! The old Hawaiian villiage was beautiful, well kept and fun to explore as well! That day was a highlight of our trip!
  • We went there to rent a Kayak, because all the other rentals had been full weeks in advance. We had a Kayak within minutes for a reasonable price and were given plenty of time to explore the river. Thumbs up!
  • Nice short canoe trip to Secret Falls trail. About 90 minute hike to falls through semi jungle pathway. Delightful trip!
  • a nice village to visit, also easy kayaking to secret fall and river cliffs.
  • Always a great activity when visiting Kauai. Secret Falls are amazing
