  • Not Recommended.... I made a reservation with this entity on Aug.23rd for Sept 5th. When we arrived more people were there, the guide told us he could only take 9 people, there was a total of 13 people, I called the lady in charge of scheduling and she told me that I was in the system for a ride that day. Two families with a total of 8 were set to leave but, my husband and I and the other 3 were left out, because this rude guide would only take 9. So I called back again and this lady asked me for $25 each to reschedule. We drove an hour to get there just to find an angry guide who wouldn't take us and a scheduler who doesn't know how to run the system. So we asked for a refund...
  • This was the worst experience I've ever had at a business. My friends and I paid $79 to go on a two hour ride. After we arrived at the location, it was vacant. We waited for about 40 minutes and another family showed up, who proceeded to call the operator. The operator told us she was going to send someone down, and after waiting another 20 minutes in the heat they called the operator again. She then told us to bang on the door of the trailers to see if our guide was in there. We did so and a man, obviously on drugs stumbled out and threatened us with guns. We all left to our cars and the man ran out and stood in the back of our car preventing us from leaving and accused of stealing his beer. We called the sheriff and he was arrested in front of us for an unrelated charge. I tried contacting the business to get my money back but I was hung up on about 8 times. Do not go here, this was the most unprofessional place of business I have ever been to.
  • I would like to point out that this stable was known as the White Tanks Riding Stables through April 2014, and it was run for about 17 years by a wonderful family out of Colorado Springs. During that 17-year timeframe, the stable was very well-run - good managers; lots of volunteer guides, greeters, and horse caregivers; and happy horses. Rides were on schedule and were in compliance with insurance requirements and park regulations. Sadly, in September 2014 in the off-season, the stables were vandalized and the family made the difficult decision not to return. Pot-O-Gold, which owns several stables, has operated out of this location since October or November 2014, even though the old sign is still up and people might erroneously think it's still run by the Colorado family. The Pot-O-Gold horses also seem healthy and happy. The manager Debby (?) is very kind and friendly. I was out there only once - and the male guide putting people aboard their horses yelled at a volunteer who was spending extra time comforting and repeating instructions to a nervous novice rider. I won't ride there for that reason, until I know for sure that that guide is no longer employed there. (He WAS very kind and gentle to the horses; I'll give him that.) When reading reviews about horseback riding stables, keep in mind that it is the rider's responsibility to prevent the horse from eating, passing other horses, or walking off the trail. It is the guide's responsibility to ensure the riders keep a distance between horses so there is no biting or kicking. And it is the stable's responsibility to keep to the schedule and have enough staff available to guide rides, greet visitors, and staff the office concurrently.
  • On vacation, found a groupon for our family. Used groupon. Excellent trail ride, beautiful scenery. People very nice. Was hot, as expected. Saw a few critters, such as a road runner and some other small animals. Would recommend.
  • I do not recommend this place what so ever!! Everyone who worked there were so rude! We got there and they almost gave up our reservations to another group . The tour guy was extremely rude and not helpful what so ever . Needless to say we didn't even do the tour do to how unprofessional they were . The site makes it sound so beautiful and relaxing , so far from that !!! Do not go here if you want to be disappointed .
