  • This is a great park with hiking trails for any fitness level. There are easy going semi-paved walking trails to competitive mountain bike loops. Petroglyphs can be found on many of the trails as well as abundant wildlife. Just a little west of Phoenix this park makes you feel a lot further out.
  • If you want to see cactuses this is your place. It is beautiful with nice petroglyphs. Gorgeous nature center
  • Wonderful views for the park! It's $6 for a car and $2 or $4 for a person so it's relative cheap to use. I hiked the waterfall trail and it was very easy. Definitely a beginners trail and easy for kids and pets. Bathrooms are pretty clean for this trail and there's a good amount of parking.
  • Local gem of a park. Many miles of amazing hiking and cycling and views. The waterfall trail is a great easy first time hike with a rewarding view of a cool trickling desert waterfall. Ford's Canyon is a long 10 mile loop with difficult sections but fantastic views. Goat Camp Trail is also long but beautiful, and will bring you to the base of the antenna hill (off limits the actual hill). The park features long and arduous trails, and short and flat. Something for everyone. Bring more water than you think you'll need.
  • I haven't been to many parks in Arizona but this one was quite good for trying out different trails. I believe they have about a dozen or so trails. Also note that there's a small fee when you enter the park. I'd ask white tank library about the fee if you're curious.
