  • Zoo is great to visit but is often crowded. Paths are not all shaded in hot summers. My daughter's favorite has always been the aquarium. A large variety of animals and great enclosures.
  • My family and I visited yesterday. We arrived before the afternoon rush so we had no problem finding a parking spot. The zoo has a wonderful trail to follow that allows for great viewing and gives tim...  more »
  • Stopped by the zoo early Sunday, it was foggy and the weather wasnt the best but the animals didn't seem to mind, I was really surprised on how much interaction they gave with the weather being so bad...  more »

  • Waco is a small city that has amazing history and an environment/culture that is awakening. It's a wonderful destination just 1.5 hours south of Dallas. This zoo is set in the heart of beautiful Cameron Park along the south bank of the Brazos River and a short drive or invigorating walk from downtown Waco. The zoo is extremely welcoming and accessible for everyone including small children. It is not so large to overwhelm families with small children. However, it is diverse and large enough to encourage return trips. My 15 year old son and I loved this place.
  • This zoo is made so that you can very interactive with animals. I can't even get that close to the animals in the houston zoo. Peaceful and quite and the paths are designed so well. Very unique zoo hidden here. Worth every penny. Snack stands are super yummy too and wonderfully priced
  • Great zoo. Very easy to move around and lots of animals. Only downside is the parking outside can be crazy cause the lots for the zoo are always full. Other than that minor problem this zoo is great. A hidden secret gem.
  • Best zoo! Great price (for membership) and I could take my kids everyday if I wanted. They do not have food open in the park everyday, only at the entrance. With my little kids I had to bring a snack and some water.
  • Love this zoo! It is big enough with lots of animals, but not so big that you have to walk 10 minutes to get to the next exhibit. If you live in waco or nearby, you should get a membership! It is also very well maintained with several areas the kids like to play. Two aquarium buildings, otter slide, playground with small splashpark, musical squares to jump on, alligator crawl space, and option to feed the giraffes! Lots of fun!
