  • We love smaller zoos, and this is a great one. The gibbons were hilarious, and the exhibits around the zoo were really well done. We enjoyed the aquarium and the snake house a lot, and the rhinos and ...  more »

  • This was definitely one of the best zoos that I have been to in a long time. It wasn't expensive. $20 for two adults and 4 kids. It had a lot of shade through the whole walk (thanks Dr. Pepper). My favorite part was reading all of interesting facts posted about the animals. Did you know a tortoise can live over 200 years? Cameron Park zoo is just as important of a tourist attraction as the Magnolia Market.
  • smaller then i expected. but it was very clean and the trail made a nice and easy loop to all the exhibits, it seemed fairly priced to enter. they had some indoor exhibits throughout the zoo which was a nice relief from the heat. there was also a small play ground and water fountain for kids to run through. they had a baby orangutan when we went but only display him for short amount of time, it would be nice if the baby and mom could be seen longer or have an open cage where they could hide if they want. one rhino had a straight horn instead of curved and we were curious why that was though. overall good zoo, perfect size for small kids.l and variety of animals
  • Loved it! Great local exhibits. Not many animals out of their element. Many uncaged animals for interaction. Well built exhibits, notes from caregivers about specific animals, good number of rescues. Excellent stroll without needing directions or a map. Lots of benches for breaks. Interesting art for photo ops.
  • Always a great place to go with the kids. It's not to big, not to small, the kids are tired after seeing all the animals and it's lanes out great. You walk in a circle to see the animals, no back tracking like other zoos we've been to. My kids love it and they are all older now and we still go as a family. My kids are now 18, 14, 12 and 11. Prices are better than other zoos too.
  • Terrific Zoo, skiing the best in Texas. Great exhibits that are humane to the animals and a wonderful park grounds that is well maintained. Compared to the Dallas zoo it is a bargain, they don't charge for sperate exhibits or parking. The area is really big and you feel like you are deep in the forest, nearly no view of the city. Lots of periodic indoor parts spread out so you can get out of the heat in the summer.
