  • Who has fun doing it to have fun, without problems and completely straightforward with guns on the firing range here is in the right place. Of small arms with different calibers up to semi-automatic rifle you can shoot everything here. Fill out the form, watch the safety video, this answer two questions, present personally or pass, gun ammunition and target select, select. Let's go. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The shooting head on the railway has given the guys tips and was always friendly and supportive to the site. I have been using my two boys, 16 & 14, to the fire a shot with a.38, and then with a Glock 17, 9 mm. We have everything together, including 150 rounds ammunition, paid around $170 and have lived 1 hour a part of American culture. So, who has fun with a real gun to shoot, is here perfectly.

  • We have been going to Colonial shooting for a couple of months, and every single time we are there, a staff member is rude to us. Especially Josh at the rental counter, makes us feel like we don't kno...  read more »

  • CSA's courteous and professional staff made my shooting experience a very pleasant, fun and memorable one. 👍🏾👍🏾 I highly recommend Colonial Shooting Academy of Virginia Beach. The experience began with the motive of "safety first", which was very comforting. Aside from the great staff, the facility itself was impressive with electronically controlled target distancing. In addition, the other shooter's smiles and greetings contributed to the friendly atmosphere. Instantly one of my favorite places to go down here.👌🏾😎
  • I honestly couldn't ask for much more in a first time visit. The place is beautiful, clean and staff is friendly. Are their prices a little more than you'd pay at other shops? Sure. But other shops don't provide the experience Colonial does. The target system is great. Want to shoot at 20 feet, type 20 feet and hit "go" and off your target goes. Is it revolutionary, no, but again not a feature you see elsewhere locally. Having the RSO sweep up casings as we shot was a little strange. I've always swept my own casings up, they aren't my maid but hey I'll take it. Overall great experience, I'll likely be getting a membership as soon as they run a sale waiving the sign up fee which I think is exorbitant. (this was a weekday visit at 1pm, I will test them during their busier time and edit if necessary)
  • Our experience did not take very long. Shortly after the RSA started to show us guns, she pushed my wife's hands down and abruptly told her not to point it in her face. The gun was not being pointed at her face at all. When my wife said she could have handled this better, the attitude got worse. In looking at these reviews it seems the attitude of the employees and their lack of people skills is a detriment to this company. We left immediately and will never be back. I did call and talk to the manager, Tony, his response was about as genuine as a three dollar bill. Not impressed at all.
  • I've tried to give this place a chance more then a few times. As a Paramedic for the city, and a firearm supporter, I would NOT recommend anybody to this store. The staff are horrible, have no people skills, rude unless you're flashing large amounts of cash around. The prices are 2x-3x the amount of other stores or online sales. They cater to a different type of customer. As outlet horrible if I could give no stars I would. This place needs to shut down and get out. Stay away from this business.
  • New and very updated shooting facility. It is well stocked with accessories and clothing The firearms counter is good and solid, very nice and knowledgeable people. They have a gunsmith on sight which is the highlight, the downer for me is that it is priced a bit on the high side. If your not a member prepare to shell out some cash to shoot here, the membership as well. The biggest eye catcher for me was their large menu of firearm courses/classes that you can take here, that right there pushes them to the 5 star category.
