Designated as Arizona's first All-American Road, Red Rock Scenic Byway (SR 179) runs through Red Rock Country. Along the road, you'll be dwarfed by the ancient red rocks that tower overhead. You'll also drive through pine forests in the Coconino National Forest. The byway is less than 16 km (10 mi), but multiple scenic pull-off points along the way make it worth taking your time. Visit the Forest Visitor Center for maps of hiking and biking trails that cut through the area. An amazing drive through spectacular scenery. Not great at night because it is very dark and winding. but a must do during the day.

This drive is gorgeous. I highly recommend. There are lots of roundabouts but the traffic flows nicely. It is a main road in Sedona.

Very cool rock formations! These are all read rock you drive by, it is really cool! It is free to drive by on the byway, you don't need to pay a toll or anything! There are however a few places you can stop, but you may have to pay for those. Along the way, you can find some rock formations that you can climb! Everything here is really neat, and if you happen to be around Sedona, you should make this drive!

This trail is absolutely gorgeous & a pretty mild hike until you get to the end where you climb up the side of a rock to get to the vortex. I got about halfway up but didn't have the right shoes to continue. Stunning views on this trail the whole way up. Tons of native plants & succulents along the way. Such a lovely area to explore & play on the gorgeous red rocks ❤

Such a great place to pull over and check out the views before hitting all the trails! I was driving from Phoenix in, so as I got closer it got more exciting! I definitely needed a place to sit for a minute and prepare for all I was about to explore. This is the spot!
