Biedenharn Coca-Cola Museum, Vicksburg

#4 of 7 in Museums in Vicksburg
The Biedenharn Coca-Cola Museum was a collaborative effort between the Vicksburg Foundation for Historic Preservation, and the Biedenharn family, the original bottlers of Coca-Cola.

The museum houses a wide variety of exhibits interpreting the beginnings of Coca-Cola, the history of the Biedenharn family, the process used to first bottle Coca-Cola, a reproduction of the equipment first used to bottle Coke, the history of Coca-Cola advertising, and Coca-Cola memorabilia from past to present.

The authentically-restored candy store and office area feature furnishings and displays of the 1890s and offers ice cream, fountain Cokes, Coke floats and a wide selection of Coca-Cola souvenirs.

The Biedenharn Coca-Cola Museum is owned and operated by the Vicksburg Foundation for Historic Preservation, and is one of the Foundation's key success stories in preserving Vicksburg’s unique historical and architectural heritage

  • A unique see about how Coke was first bottled, but it's a little boring and tiresome after a while. Worth the stop if you have the time.  more »
  • This historic spot has a nice collection of Coca-Cola memorabilia. For a small fee, we enjoyed a stroll through the displays. We went out the back door to see the soda shop out back. The most fascinat...  more »
  • I found curious and sympathetic to read in the official guide of Vicksburg which has had bottled the first Coca-Cola of history in this place and I was encouraged to go since the entrance is cheap. As said in the title, only has interest for the very fans or collectors. A little history of relative importance because it is more anecdotal than anything else and many objects with the logo of the drink. I think that I didn't spend more than 15 minutes in the local.

  • We did not take the museum tour and only stopped in to get a cold drink. There is a memorabilia store with cute coke items but they're a bit pricey.
  • Fun place to visit for a couple of hours. Two rooms full of Coca-Cola Memorabilia. Don't expect Atlanta's World of Coca-Cola, but a nice place see.
  • Quaint stop. Fun way to get a scoop of ice cream and learn about Coca - Cola.
  • Great place! Nice people and interesting coca cola collection. Feels really one of a kind and special.
  • The museum wasn't really big, nor did it have incredibly interesting stuff. Also, the store is more of a tourist trap than anything else.
