  • A great accompaniment to the quarry visit center. It's a cheap attraction and worth visiting at least once.
  • Very interesting and educational. We thought it was a little small for the $7 per person but it was very nice for the size.
  • The staff there is simply outstanding. We visited the place during off season and the lady in front desk offered a change to see how the crew is preparing all the fossils.Really recommending this place.
  • Outstanding museum. Well worth the cost. We went with our older children. We could have spent two more hours there taking in everything. The museum does a great job at helping you visualize the enormity of time in which the geologic events of the Vernal area took place. The rock and fossil displays are superb. After taking pictures with the dinosaurs outside, we found a little gem being advertised inside of the museum that pointed us to the Ouray National Wildlife Refuge, about 30 min on the way towards Roosevelt. Who new something this cool existed out here in the desert. On top of the observation tower that has a telescope, we saw hundreds of sandhill cranes, and lots of ducks, blue heron, deer and hawks. Very cool!
  • Road Trip Layout: 9/10 Content: 9/10 Atmosphere: 8/10 Location: 9/10 The layout is very unique. The whole floor is a map and each station flows perfect to the outside stations. The content was surprisingly vast and interesting. The atmosphere is clean, open, and very friendly. The location is great for passing through Vernal.
