  • A significant achievement of capturing local history, boating history, and all things nautical. An in-depth display of Lake Champlain history from pre-Revolutionary war and beyond; a significant displ...  more »
  • Very disappointed the museum was not open although all of the print advertisements stated the museum would be open in mid-May. Unfortunately it does not open until 05/27/17.  more »
  • Great friendly and knowledgeable staff. Many wonderful exhibits and programs. Must see place for history buffs. Where else can someone explore a real wreck with a ROV?  more »

  • Some great exhibits, a wonderful history of boats on the lake, knowledgeable staff. Not their fault, but no cellular service, print directions. Also no wifi to speak of, so know where you want to eat or go next.
  • Awesome collection of maritime objects!
  • Amazing experience all around. So much more to offer than meets the eye. What don't they offer? Blacksmithing, glass blowing, summer camps, ROV tours, long boating, etc. Would highly recommend a visit to anyone in the area. There is a even a pirate festival for kids! A historic treasure that is totally UNDERrated!!
  • This institution far outstripped my expectations. Wonderful displays covering the history of Lake Champlain and maritime technologies going back to its first inhabitants. Friendly staff and volunteers. Plan to make a day of it. The entry fee will grant you a 20% discount to the Red Mill Restaurant, an easy walk from there, so no need to pack a lunch.
  • The Submarine, Lake Champlain Explorer, resides there. It was the First Submarine to cruise beneath the waves of Lake Champlain. The Museum calls it: The Yellow Sub.
