  • Unlike the pier at Clearwater Beach you don't have to pay to walk to the end. We did not go fishing but we enjoyed our walk on the pier after eating at Sharky's.  more »
  • Nice nice walk on a small pier. But if you do not fish, it is not a big interest

  • We loved the pier, but the Red Tide surely dampens spirits. Beware the Red Tide if you are outside! Be sure to visit the Pier once the Red Tide leaves - but it has been present since November 2016 acc...  more »

  • I loved the pier. We spent the afternoon taking photos of the sunset. There is a lot of activity. people walking, fishing, and just hanging out. This is a great attraction if you're in Venice. Food and drinks are nearby and you can relax and listen to some live music by Sharkys.
  • Whether you are a local, entertaining friends from out of town, or vacationing, the Venice Pier is a great place to walk along the beach, take in some natural beauty, and even grab a drink or a bite to eat with friends. Best time to visit 1.5 hours before sunset.
  • This is my favorite beach around! I live in the Tampa area, but I find those beaches to be too crowded for me. The beach near the Venice Fishing Pier is rarely jam packed, but has enough people to have fun people watching and be social with. The restrooms are clean and nice, although I wish they had a changing area. I am not a fan of changing my clothes in a bathroom stall. There is plenty of food around the area, and the pier is fun to walk on to watch the spectacular sunsets.
  • Great spot to catch all different species of fish. The local fisherman were friendly and helpful. Lots of strolling tourists to be mindful of while casting your line. You have to to be quick on the reel as the pelicans wait below to snatch your bounty. Love Venice...great place for a vacation.
  • Excellent place to fish and it's close to restrooms and restaurant.
