We had several meals here for lunch and dinner. The sunset is spectacular and the sushi quite good. In fact, suggest lobster roll for lunch.
A local institution and not to be missed, especially for a sunset stroll. Easy parking and accessibility for everyone.

This is my favorite beach around! I live in the Tampa area, but I find those beaches to be too crowded for me. The beach near the Venice Fishing Pier is rarely jam packed, but has enough people to have fun people watching and be social with. The restrooms are clean and nice, although I wish they had a changing area. I am not a fan of changing my clothes in a bathroom stall. There is plenty of food around the area, and the pier is fun to walk on to watch the spectacular sunsets.
Great spot to catch all different species of fish. The local fisherman were friendly and helpful. Lots of strolling tourists to be mindful of while casting your line. You have to to be quick on the reel as the pelicans wait below to snatch your bounty. Love Venice...great place for a vacation.
I always enjoy fishing with my family at this peir. The gentleman at the bait shop is friendly and helpful. It's relaxing to walk the pier after a meal from one of the local restaurants.
Fins was fantastic. Plenty of parking for beach. Beautiful water. Coarse sand is the only thing wrong with this fabulous place
Fun place! See the pelicans, joke with the fisherfolk, take some pictures.
