  • Portland and Vancouver are like Minneapolis and St Paul only in two different states. The bridge is fun to experience as you go across and realize half your car is one state and the other in another.  more »

  • Beautiful views of the river that creates the border between Oregon and Washington. This bridge is structurally awesome looking. However if you get stopped for the drawbridge to go up, you're going to be waiting a long time. Just turn your car off and try to enjoy the view instead of thinking about how much time you're wasting while sitting there.
  • The Drawbridge has never gone up. I like crossing this bridge OUT of Washington! It always seems to be cloudy and raining returning too Washington. Not to mention western Washington drivers are terrible!
  • It's a classic. It's sad to think Portland is so desperate to replace it and force Vancouver to pay for it. They just want to get Max into Vancouver so we have to help pay for that too. The answer to the congestion is obviously a third bridge from Ridgefield to Hillsborough.
  • I love the traffic... It gives me a chance to catch up on Facebook.
  • It is an architectural marvel.. it is the oldest bridge connecting Vancouver WA to Portland OR. Driving past it you can see the gorgeous Mt. Hood. Watching sunrise from here is a mesmerizing experience...
