Keepers of the Wild Nature Park Reviews
Being a Route 66 aficionado, I have had a long interest in visiting zoos along 66 in the southwest. The really good news is that Keepers of the Wild bears absolutely no similarity to those dice roadsi... more »

On the other hand there are a good number of cats which pleased me a lot. The facilities are good but bring food for what they sell there is pretty weak. We didn't do the tour guided by that we don't think it was worth it, but maybe next time.
Be sure to take the guided tour so you can learn the back story of all the animals. Many big cats. Nice stop if you are on the area. more »
This is a wonderful place to take your little ones. There are several different species of animals. The monkeys were so cute! The staff were there for questions but not over bearing. They have a small concession area where you can get bottle drinks, candy, hot dogs, and nachos. I would pack a picnic and enjoy in the outside dining area. Also bring lots if water. Will visit again soon!
We had a great tour, our guide Kevin told us many stories about the animal on the Sanctuary, many were sad and some very impressive. This place is dedicated to make this beautiful animals to have the second chance they deserve. The Safari Tour is great, because you can see the Park on the comfort of the seat, there is a section of the Tour were can walk with the guide and see very close the Monkeys and the Baboon. The guide called all the animals by name, many came closer to us and we got the opportunity for good pictures. The Installations are clean, the Staff is really friendly and nice, they also have Free Tourist information in case want to visit more places in Arizona. Visit the Gift Shop, all the Money the Sanctuary gets will be dedicated for the well being of the rescued animals.
Had a fun experience seeing all of the rescued animals. They had interesting stories about them. 3:30 tour was the best.
This is an awesome place to visit should you be traveling on Route 66. The place is located in Valentine, Arizona. Some of these animals were once used for shows or kept as pets. Some have been declawed or had their teeth taken out. Fortunately Keepers of the wild and their staff have taken them in. This is actually my second visit. I was amazed eight years ago and still am amazed at being so close to the animals. We arrived early and did a walk through of the facility and had great fun watching the animals. We waited for the last tour which was the best because this was their feeding time. They had told us the best time to go was on Wednesday for the last tour because the animals fast on Tuesdays. They were right. Being so close was both exciting and scary. The tour guide was very informative as well as the staff that were feeding them. In fact even that lady at the gift shop was keen on all the information of the park. Overall it was a fun and amazing day. Just some general information. The park is open from 9am to 5pm from Wednesday to Monday and closed on Tuesday .The fee is $20.00 per person or $30.00 per person for the tour. The tour hours are 10 am 1 pm and 3:30 pm. What is great about paying for it is the fee is only used for the care and medical treatment of the animals. Each of these animals are well taken care of and the staff will definitely take care of you when you arrive.
The keepers of the wild was great to visit. The animals are clearly well taken care of. I highly recommend the tour later in the day that includes the animals feeding, you learn a lot more about the animals and get to see them when they're more active.
