  • My husband drove out to Piney Lake for one afternoon in September. We didn't stay there, we didn't hike, we didn't have time. Turns out, it was well worth it for the views alone and when we got there,...  more »
  • Best thing to say is have your adventure and try it out for yourself. I found it beautiful, nice trails and decent food. A LOT of fun! It's a long slow drive though. Took us about 45 minutes on the di...  more »
  • In summer time, this is a great place to visit. 40 minutes away from Vail with different walking trails and wonderful views. Excellent place for picnics and family/friends gatherings.  more »

  • This place is heaven. I could not believe the view. The drive there is beautiful. We rented a canoe and it was fun.
  • Beautiful Venue for a Wedding. We were there for my wife's brother's wedding several years ago. The drive up in a minivan (rented due to having multiple children and senior citizens) was entertaining and we all hurried to rush back down before the sun set as I wouldn't want to do the drive at night but the location was spectacular.
  • Brittany was such a pleasure to work with and has become a friend after having our wedding at the one and only, beautiful Piney River Ranch. She was always quick to respond to all of our inquiries during our planning process. It is always great to work with someone you WANT to work with. From the moment we met her on our first trip up to Piney, to the evening spent tasting food at Cowboy Catering, all the way to and through our big day, she was there to help and guide us through the process. Always willing to go the extra mile to make sure our wedding day was perfect and exactly how we envisioned it being, she came through every time! We look forward to seeing Brittany every time we are back in Vail! Brittany gets 5 stars! Piney River Ranch, although a trek to get to is more than worth the drive! I would recommend it to anyone and everyone looking to get married in the Rockies!
  • Awesome place to hike and canoe. The views are beautiful and the food in the restaurant is really good too. It is worth the slow drive up the mountain (about 45 minutes). I would definitely go back.
  • Absolutely wonderful experience getting married up at Piney River Ranch last August. Brittany and Monique were incredibly helpful, friendly, and truly welcoming. They answered so many questions leading up to the ceremony and helped to facilitate a great experience on the day of. It's a fun and phenomenal venue for special occasions or just for a beautiful day trip!! (If you're planning a wedding up there I highly recommend you use a company like mountain express to shuttle guests...we did not do this and some of our guests got lost driving home and a bus we had hired got stuck coming down the hill from piney. All were okay but it definitely made for a slightly more exciting night than had been anticipated.)
