  • Such a beautiful and historic place any time of year! Stay away from the sheep! Sheep Dogs aren't friendly!  more »
  • this is a fantastic place to mountain bike, camp, snow mobile, hike and back country ski. Go and feel the history and the back country but be careful  more »
  • We actually drove around the camp. I had never gone on the roads inside of it. Some street signs still visible, lots of foundations and great insight to the men who trained and fought in world war 2.  more »

  • We had 2 tents and were in site #10. One small area allows for a smaller tent right beside the river. Our 2nd tent didn't have the shade, but wasn't too bad with a pine next to it. It's a larger site so we even had a 10x10 canopy and corn hole area. Clean and pretty site, across the road from the toilets. Would definitely stay here again.
  • Great for hiking, biking and ski touring. sections of the colorado trail / continental divide trail can be accessed here. Study the maps before you go - Cell phone coverage here is non-existant
  • Very interesting history and nice campground.
  • Awesome site's only 21 spaces so place is peaceful
