  • The most affordable ski trips I have ever had. Allowed me to double my ski days, at least, compared to the amount I usually get on the best of years (plus I was able to pay for my brother for three days as a birthday present). Although the mountain is comparatively small, Sipapu was more memorable than Ski Apache. Again, the amount of time I could spend on the mountain helped - I had enough time to get my ski legs again and then really push my limits. I made good progress with jumps, mastered every diamond on the course, and even tackled a double diamond before I left very satisfied. I chose Sipapu over Ski Apache, even though it is three hours further, because of the bargains. As such, the accommodations are smaller and less modern, but worked well for my brother and me, though the lack of internet in the rooms and on the slopes can be a problem. There is only one cafeteria where meals are somewhat expensive. If you're staying on the mountain, I would suggest stopping in Las Vegas NM for groceries. TL;DR - If your focus is on bargain skiing, this place is the best. I absolutely love it and will be back next season. If you need more amenities, then someplace more expensive may be your ticket.
  • Small ski resort that cateres to families. Loved the rustic family style rooms with a kitchen. Our family had a great experience though they was just one to in that had snow pack.
  • Great little ski park with numerous lifts and plenty of trails for all levels of difficulty! If you're renting gear I'd recommend arriving before 11 as most of the gear quickly becomes very limited on sizes. If it's a busy day, make sure and ask if they have gear left in your size before you pay for your ski pass. Great ski park, now if only there were more space for parking!
  • I have come to this place for almost the past 4 years. Such an affordable fun mountain. Full of locals and friendly staff! Easy access to the lift from the cabins and hotel. It's a small mountain but we'll worth the experience! Great time for beginners as well!
  • One of the best hidden treasures of new mexico ski spots! so much fun and in the summer theirs disc golf!!! the river running and a cold beer couldn't ask for much more.
