  • The plantation visit was informative. The mourning tour was conducted by actors, some who were descendants of original owners. Very enjoyable.
  • What an exciting day to make the trip back to the River Road to meet family that has owned St Joseph and Felicity Plantations for a century and a half and continue to run them both as a successful sug...  more »

  • Highly recommend a trip there. A working sugar plantation. Great history. Beautiful place.
  • Great tour. Cool facts about the history of the property
  • Great tour. Lots of family and local history
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. True, it is not Greek Revival as its neighbor Oak Alley is, but it is a beautiful example of the transition between the Raised Creole & Greek Revival. One of the fascinating features of this home is the family involvement. The family is restoring the plantation & serving as tour guides. You get a real feel for the history of the home through the knowledge of your guide. I would recommend visiting St. Joseph Plantation. I would love to have a restaurant on the grounds, maybe one day.
  • Wow! It's amazing the history of this place and descendants still run it today! Thanks for the great tour and experience! Came in April, loved the weather.
