  • We originally stopped at the gas station to use the restroom. But, we saw the signs and decided to have a little break from our drive home. It was so fun to learn about the fort, it's purpose, and tak...  more »
  • To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much. It was a cold, rainy day with not much to do while we were visiting in Beaver, so we went to Cove Fort. Our guide was Sister Fund and she was great! She is very ...  more »

  • The facilities are excellent! There is a very peaceful and calm feeling at the fort. The fort is more than the volcanic walls of the fort. Each of the 12 rooms has artifacts of the time and era that describes a devoted and obedient family that typifies service and charity of an early pioneer family. Well worth the visit.
  • Sister Jackson took us on a tour yesterday and it was so cool!! She was so nice to my kids and very informative. What a neat history this place has. We stopped on our way to st George with our 13, 8 & 3 year old and they all enjoyed it. We were sad the barn wasn’t open yet but we will definitely stop again!
  • If you're travelling from Salt Lake City to Zion (and vise versa), I would highly recommend stopping by Cove Fort as it's located almost exactly halfway between the two. As an added bonus, the tours are free of charge. Our own guide was very friendly and had plenty to tell us about the history of the fort (thank you, Elder Butler!) If you're short on time, the guides are willing to compensate as to not keep you too long. If you're even slightly interested in Utah's history, then I'd say Cove Fort is worth your time.
  • It's alright. You'll be inundated with really friendly mormons who want to walk you across the street and give you a tour. But there is a bathroom they let you use: price is at least a nice chat and at most I guess maybe you'd be proselytized at...?
  • The tour was very informative and interesting. The only downside was the religious side was pushed a bit much for my tastes but the missionaries were very friendly and you can tell they enjoy what they do.
