  • Small, but jam packed with memories, functional items, and trinkets of railroads of the past. Our volunteer guide was very knowledgeable, and you could tell he loved spending time there. Ask about the story of the baggage wagon right inside the main entrance when you go.
  • This is a very quaint train museum in downtown Tyler. It's tucked a little bit off Broadway, but is unmistakable. The museum itself is pretty small, but there are A LOT of items of interest. They have three large electric train sets set up that kept my energetic 4-year-old engaged for quite a while. They also have an old telegraph machine, lots of pictures and other historic items. Definitely worth the visit!
  • You have to be into the railroads to love it. Very interesting for people that don't know much about trains though!
  • The staff made the place interesting. Our volunteer was a train collector quite versed in local history.
  • A lot to see in a small space. Took 2 grandchildren, boys 10 and 4. Both enjoyed the model train exhibits. A lot of history to absorb at one time.
