  • My kids ages 10 and 12 really enjoyed this museum. The staff was friendly and informational. We loved the tough pool and turtle the most!
  • For 5 dollars it was very nice and informative. Didn't get to do the beach hike but will try next time.
  • The Tybee Island Marine Science center is a small building that focuses on the rescue and release of the sea creatures found on Tybee Island. Their programs offered to groups are interactive and engaging. Beach walks, discovering new creatures that live amongst the sand and net fishing is all led by the centers many friendly and animal living marine scientists. Definitely a great place for kids and groups!
  • I didn't go in the exhibition part of the museum, so I can't comment on that I did have the guides take me with a high school class that I was chaperoning on a tour of the beach where she pointed out local flora and beach life, and that was very cool. We also went on the pier, where there were hot dog/nacho/beer place.
  • It was ok. Paid to see their aquariums. Waters dirty. I have a better filtration system on my tank at home. Touch tank is super small. Maybe their other stuff is better.
  • The Marine Science Center was one of the greatest parts on my visit to Tybee. The have stingrays, a baby loggerhead turtle, horseshoe crabs, and a touch tank filled with small hermit crabs, spider crabs, sea snails, horseshoe crabs, sand dollars, and more. If you go to visit Tybee, be sure to stop here. Also, try to find marine life and give it to them. They are always looking for new life and extra help.
  • We went with our Girl Scout trip and Allie was fabulous!!! She was very knowledgeable and patient with the girls. Loved collecting sea stars and learning about them and other marine life. Look forward to returning !!
