  • Had read that the place was small, not thought so. The exhibition is of the same size to where to buy the ticket and is located souvenir shop. With goodwill and reading all the information in a sumo it 15' end up seeing everything, there is a small place where you can touch some crabs, snails, and sea stars, but I didn't like because it was without supervision and animals you could see that they were stressed and reach other children realized because... even had a small dead crab. What are expanding and the project it seems is going to be very interesting when completed. Guided Beach exit seems more entertaining, but wasn't in that day. Entry comes out $5 and only worth the work of recovery and awareness that perform. The woman who sold tickets super friendly and biased, but the place itself is no big deal. Parking is metered, if they don't think then go to the beach, taking half an hour reaches and excess.

  • I am sure young children would find this exciting. For we older folks it was not that interesting. The staff were very nice.
  • We were here spur of the minute and brought our 4 and 6 yr old grands. The gift shop is as big as the whole museum. A few neat things to see but very small. The best part is the hands on pool. I would...  more »

  • The Tybee Island Marine Science center is a small building that focuses on the rescue and release of the sea creatures found on Tybee Island. Their programs offered to groups are interactive and engaging. Beach walks, discovering new creatures that live amongst the sand and net fishing is all led by the centers many friendly and animal living marine scientists. Definitely a great place for kids and groups!
  • Just to warn you, this place is small but it has a large selections of living sea turtles and beach life. So if you down by the beach, take a look. The staff was funny and know there stuff.
  • I didn't go in the exhibition part of the museum, so I can't comment on that I did have the guides take me with a high school class that I was chaperoning on a tour of the beach where she pointed out local flora and beach life, and that was very cool. We also went on the pier, where there were hot dog/nacho/beer place.
  • Great value at only $5 per person! The kids loved seeing the baby sea turtles!
  • We went with our Girl Scout trip and Allie was fabulous!!! She was very knowledgeable and patient with the girls. Loved collecting sea stars and learning about them and other marine life. Look forward to returning !!
