  • Stopped by while spending time in Two Harbors. It was out of season, so no tour, but we were free to explore the grounds. Loved it. And what a view! The small nautical museum in the main welcome center was fascinating too.
  • The guys were very informative and we learned a lot about this Lighthouse from touring all the buildings. Very nice and I would recommend coming.
  • Stopped here on a cold morning. I wasn't expecting anything to be open. To our delight, the museum, grounds, and gift shop was open. They even played the movie for us, which was perfect for my 5yo with a short attention span. We had the whole place to ourselves. The staff was very inviting. Even though the buildings, and "tour" wasn't open this time of year, I must say it was one of the most memorable times at Split Rock yet.
  • I bought a Minnesota Historical Pass for a year + one guess. This was one of my favorite trips. The light house is beautiful and fun to look out of from the small windows on the top. You can also hike down to the shore and take great pictures angled up to get the light house in the background. The rocks are really nice for skipping too! We spent about thirty minutes reading about the light house and most of our time hiking around and by the shore. The workers are really knowledgeable and very nice like all Minnesota historical sites! Definitely stop by if you are in the area. I'm not sure how much it costs but if you live in Minnesota and like history buy the year pass!
  • Absolutely awesome view I highly recommend that. Amazing outdoor trails as well. Problem was the rude staff then complained about my small 15 pound dog who was only outside. The also seemed upset when they asked my fiancĂ© where we were visiting from.
