Shoshone Falls, Twin Falls

(4.4/5 based on 950+ reviews on the web)
Known as “The Niagara of the West,” Shoshone Falls are a 65 m (212 ft) high and 300 m (1,000 ft) wide wonders of nature. These waterfalls are actually 14 m (45 ft) taller than Niagara's. Admire the falls and the scenic surroundings from the observation platforms. Continue exploring on the hiking trails, or relax in the picnic area. A play area and restrooms are also available. If you're up for a longer visit, head to the launch platform for Evel Knievel’s famous attempt to clear the Snake River Canyon, which is located 3 km (1.8 mi) from the falls. Admission is charged per vehicle at the parking lot. Put Shoshone Falls into our Twin Falls vacation builder and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • Enjoyed the gorgeous scenery!! Natural setting is ideal for easy hikes along the canyons. People are really nice and very affordable! Will go again someday
  • Even though I have lived in the area all of my life and visit this amazing sight at least once a year, it is breathtaking each and every time. Definitely a must see if you are in the area.
  • Nice place in Idaho to visit, ample parking! We were there in June, no access have to pay though! two days of walking the streets in this neighborhood, also at the river you can relax, walking fine too! Recommended if you more or less close, we did it on our way from Saltlake to Yellowstone, is to, but worth it!
