#1 of 80 in Nature in Idaho

  • It was a warm and windy winter day. The water was amaz amazing but no where near the levels of March and April before the farms start drawing down for irrigation.  more »

  • Such a wonderful place to visit. I highly recommend this location for everyone. The park is very nice and the falls are AMAZING!!! The viewing locations are very safe for kids and it's a must see if you are anywhere near Twin Falls. I have traveled to many places in my life and this is one to remember. Highly recommend for all!!! Great place to take pictures.
  • Really cool falls, surrounded with volcanic rocks. These powerful falls have carved a stunning little spot into Idaho’s plains. Snake river roars over and everything is green. Despite the cold weather of March, it was well worth the little detour. The lack of cell service there, allows one to focus on the stunning site before them. Any stop in Twin falls should include here.
  • The falls were even more impressive than I thought they'd be. Shoshone Falls have been described as the Niagara Falls of the West. That may be a little generous, but the experience is powerful and the falls are quite large. They are also a reminder of how powerful and omni-present the Snake River is in southern Idaho. The falls aren't that far from either Twin Falls or I-84. If you have an hour to spare, take either the Twin Falls exit 173 or 182. You can only access the park from the south side. It takes about 15-20 minutes from either exit. The park itself has a fantastic overlook, and a ridge trail high along the Snake River.
  • Really cool falls. They are big and very pretty. There is a nice lake just up the hill from the falls also. All together it's a really nice place, and I would suggest visiting it.
  • Loved it, for people going for first time it is $3 to park, but it is absolutely worth it. You can park up top for free if there is available parking if not you will have to pay $3 to drive to the bottom and park or have to turn around, it is quite stunning to see it in person
