  • Absolutely worth the paddle from Centennial Waterfront Park. Took a little over an hour going slow, stopping to watch BASE jumpers, etc. Beautiful area to explore on foot once you arrive by boat.
  • Beautiful view from the top but you really need to boat in to see it up close.
  • I am sad I did not make it to this place. The directions I had from google took me to a rough dirt road, and my rental car couldn't make it. A truck, or a heavy duty car can definitely make it through here. We didn't walk it, because we were on a tight schedule. Seems like a nice place for kayaking though!
  • Pillar Falls is definitely worth the paddle up from Centennial Park. You can actually carry up over Pillar and continue to paddle to the base of Shoshone Falls, which is about an 8 mile round trip. Going just to Pillar and back from Centennial takes about 3-4 hours, and the views are incredible. This is one of my favorite kayaking spots along the Snake River.
  • This is a really fun area to explore around. I think kayaks make it easiest so you don't have to walk through the waterfalls very much, although we walked through a few small waterfalls in chacos and were fine. There were lots of people fishing and chilling here. If you go to the far end of the rocks, toward Shoshone falls, there's a nice like Sandy put-in to take a boat or kayak further up.
