Willamette Valley Vineyards, Turner
(4.5/5 based on 140+ reviews on the web)
Willamette Valley Vineyards is an American winery located in Turner, Oregon. Named after Oregon's Willamette Valley, the winery is the leading producer of Pinot noir in Oregon, and also produces Dijon clone Chardonnay and Pinot gris. The first planting was the Estate Vineyard, which was purchased in 1983 by Founder/Winegrower Jim Bernau. In 1989 the winery went public. In 1997 the winery purchased Tualatin Estates, one of the oldest vineyards in Oregon, and increased their plantings of Pinot noir, Pinot gris, Chardonnay and other cool-climate varietals, the Willamette Valley does have vinicultural conditions comparable to the Côte d'Or in Burgundy France. The winery picks all its fruit by hand and ferments its Pinot noir through small bin fermentation.

  • What a unbelievable experience ! First off I want to give a big thank you to the founder of this great vineyard Mr.Jim Bernau. I want to thank him for his wonderful attitude and making me feel so welcomed the last time I was here! Now on to the ultimate experience ! I arranged a private tour with the best wine ambassador in this industry Miss Jennifer Bell. This experience was 10 stars ! The knowledge and the taste of these great wines will leave you in heaven. You can eat here at this great vineyard . I had the chicken and pasta. It was so good! This is my top choice for any wine tour that I am on. If you want top quality wine, excellent customer service , and most of being treated like family come here ASAP! I highly recommend !
  • My husband and I have been members of several different wineries throughout the years. We try and change it up a bit but there is one winery we will not change up and that's Willamette Valley Vineyards. I love that the tasting room is so comfortable and spacious and it is also nice that they serve well prepared food. The view is one of the best you will see in the valley. The most important feature is their wines, from their whites to their reds you can't go wrong, amazing and affordable. The next most important part for me and my husband is their hospitality. We always feel welcomed and attended to. Their special events are always fun to look forward to and enjoy. To all those who pour the wine, thanks for your friendly personalities and keeping us educated on all the old and new releases. Anytime we have family or guests in town we make the time to visit Willamette Valley Vineyards. Enjoy and be prepared to join when you go there. Tell them Cheryl and Joe sent you.
  • Willamette Valley Vineyards was on a gorgeous property with incredible views! The wines we had were fantastic - we ended up ordering 4 bottles. The best part of our experience there was Wende. She was the best hostess anyone could ask for. My husband planned a tasting and tour with her for my birthday and she went above and beyond. She was extremely knowledgable about the history of the winery and all of the wines we tasted. She told the story of Willamette Valley with such enthusiasm that I was entranced. Every piece of the experience was personalized. And she was so sweet! I will never forget it. I cannot express my gratitude to her and and I urge anyone out there to visit this amazing place!
  • What a great place to spend a summer afternoon. We enjoyed the wine tasting in their beautiful tasting room overlooking the vineyards. Dinner was really good also. My wife had a tasty lamb chop and I had a kobe beef burger that was equally great. Would love to come back in fall.
  • Fantastic staff and wine selection! If you enjoy their wine I would suggest joining their wine club. You receive some amazing benefits as well as get first access to some really exclusive events.
