  • New ownership is cleaning Tulsa's only waterpark up and making it fun again! It's well on it's way back to a clean, fun, family friendly place that you will want to come to. The foods are good and dec...  more »
  • The best place to be is at the bottom of the super slide when there are lots of bikinis. Awesome lazy river too. The wave pool is great fun also. I've enjoyed attending here for years.
  • Nice to have a water park in town but cost is higher than value and of questionable cleanliness. Potential unrealized.

  • Place is okay, it's small but it serves its purpose. Most of the staff is nice, restrooms are okay. We enjoyed the lazy river and the deep pools. There was an iguana, a large turtle, a snake and a bird. The food is more like a snack so I'm glad that we ate before heading that way. Place is good if you have nothing else to do.
  • Went over the weekend... Had a blast. Wave pool still my favorite. Lazy river was too packed. But hope they continue to build more. But awesome time
  • I went on 7-18-16, 2:30 to 6:00. Safari Joes is already a huge improvement from what Big Splash was. At the time, they have all 3 new reptile rush slides built. Light Green slide was closed for complaints and maintenance. I went on everything but the yellow trap door slide. They have the big green slide ready to add onto the Master Blaster but probably wont start on it for about 1 month at least. Master Blaster is open now until they start upgrading it. Lazy River now has 2 water hazards - the waterfall and the pipe after it is turned on, which was never on when it was Big Splash (Huge improvement). Lazy River, Wave Pool, Activity Pool, 2 small slides, diving deck, rock wall, basketball court, 4 wooden playgrounds, little kid splash pool, and all 3 flume slides are open (Yellow body slide, Green body slide, and Pink tube slide). They also added many animals including 2 White Cockatoos, baby alligator, Blue Macaw, Iguana, and Tortoise. A few new stores, restaraunts, and a bar. Maintenance was building a stage for Morgan Ganem. New restrooms near the flume slides, along with the old ones up front. Restrooms also have showers and changing room. Music was ok but not what I expected. It started out being 5 good new songs like what KHITS plays, then seemed to have changed to 5 country crap songs, and back to the good music. They also played the Safari Joes commercial between every song. I think it is somebodys phone music because it definately isnt any radio station. Either someone is changing it or it is a playlist that changes after about 5 songs. That is not what I call variety. I dont want to hear more than 1 crap song between 1 or more good songs. Im fine with variety or no country at all, just not 1 more than 1 country songs in a row. It is regularly $20 for adults to get in, $15 with pre bought tickets from Walgreens, $15 at the gate with a CokaCola can or any kind of Fanta can, $10 after 4:00, but I get in with my Military discount for $10. When it comes to tubes, it is all screwed up. If you want to ride a tube slide, they are suppose to have FREE tubes near that slide entrance. They dont think that way. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND going to Academy or a big tulsa walmart to buy a cheap single tube 42' or under with handles. If you dont have 1, you will have to rent 1 for both tube slides and the wave pool. No they dont have free ones in the wave pool. Pink slide DOES NOT allow double tubes. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND you rent single tubes no matter how many people you have. Single tubes are $5.50, plus $1 deposit you get back if you bring it back. They have a free air pump to pump up any tube. I used it on the 1 I rented because it wasnt filled to how I wanted, this is also how I identified it among many others. I put it on an unused chair as I went down the body slides. Someone took it, brought it back, and took it again. Life guard says "It happens all the time. Just take another lying around." Seriously? Seems like you dont rent the exact 1 you pay for, then you just need to bring any back to the desk and you will still get the deposit back. So its like theyre paying us $1 to do their work for them because they dont want to pick up every tube. But at least you can bring in your own, they dont care. You can bring in any big 1 for the wave pool you want, it just has to be 42' or under and have handles to go down any slide. I think buying passes at the Tulsa State Fair for next year will definately be worth it, because then they will have every slide open and running and Master Blaster upgraded. I just hope they play all good music or put on a good station. It isnt a big park, and they dont have much room to upgrade since the horse track and fairgrounds are behind them. But for what they got now and will have soon, it is better than nothing.

  • I've been wanting to visit Safari Joe's h2o water park for a while. I first read the reviews about it online like I do everything else. All I saw about the park was very negative from the food to the park looking run down. I actually have no complaints about the park at all. It's definitely smaller than any other park that I've been to. The water was dirty but that's only due to trees around the park and that can't be helped unless someone is constantly cleaning the pools. I wasn't going to visit the park because of the reviews but everyone can't be pleased. The food that I got was greasy but I expected that because I'm well aware that I'm not at a restaurant. They had reptiles and birds there also and the staff was friendly. Over all the families that I saw there looked like they were happy and having a good time and I think that's all that matters. The only reason I gave the park 4 stars is because nothing is ever perfect. I'm happy that I figured out the park is a fun family and friendly place for myself and didn't trust the negative reviews I saw online. I would definitely recommend this park to anyone who loves water parks.
