Mohawk Park, Tulsa

4.4
#10 of 12 in Parks in Tulsa
Mohawk Park Golf Course is set in north Tulsa in the beautiful and natural Mohawk Park. Two of Tulsa’s most historic and challenging courses await you here.

Woodbine Course was built in the late 1920’s, then redesigned in 1934 by Floyd Farley, who designed more than 100 layouts, most notably Quail Creek Golf and Country Club in Oklahoma City. Woodbine features mature oak and pecan trees with little water hazards and has generous fairways with large greens.

Pecan Valley Course was built in the 1950’s and features tight driving areas requiring you to work the golf ball, more mature trees than you can count (or hit!), and water coming into play often. The water is mainly beside or behind hitting areas with few forced carries. The front 9 of Pecan Valley has been redeveloped into a 9 hole course of par 4’s and 3’s and used as a First Tee instructional facility for youth golfers.

  • The course is ok. Yeah the grounds are nice and the staff is nice and the food is nice, BUT.... nothing is ever done about slow players.... ever. Had a 2some add an hour to our 4some's round today. A TWOSOME!!! Nobody in front of them for at least 4 holes, yet we waited on every shot, from hole 5 on.... at the turn, they added a 3rd person, and we waited even MORE on EVERY shot. General attitude with the staff out there is, "oh well... you can pick up and go past them... skip a hole", (so they don't have to confront anyone about playing slow.) I play about 120 rounds per year at Mohawk... and I see a Marshal on the course once or twice per year..... Fact.
  • Course was enjoyable but not that difficult. Nice quite area near the zoo.
  • Excellent value! Decent driving range and chipping/putting green. Friendly and cooperative staff. We played the Woodbine course. Generous fairways and the greens were very smooth and fast. There was no starter on duty and a larger group was starting at our tee time, so we asked to start on the back 9. They said sure. We did not have to wait on anyone the whole round. Some improvement does need to be made in signage though. We got a bit lost around holes 7 and 8 - although the staff tried to warn/advise us about it. I would golf here anytime and will return.
  • Hard to find a better public course, especially for the price. Staff and maintenance crew all top notch. 4 stars only because course is on a flood plain and can be a mess at times.
  • Great place to play golf and the burgers are awesome! Will be back soon!
