  • Easy access to walk in the desert. You can stay on the valley floor and take an easy level hike in the desert. Or head towards Kings Canyon or Gates Pass and hike trails up Tucson Mountains over boulders and rocks but remember bring plenty of water for everyone.
  • Great park for hiking/trail running, and Mtn Biking. The trails are rocky and steep and if you bike it, leave the light-weight race tires at home and bring a tube/pump (even if you ride tubeless). This place is full of sharp rocks and granite that destroys tires and rips sidewalls to shreds. That said, lots of good loops ans great access to Robles trail system. No shade, so starting out very early in the summer is a must. Also, bring lots of water as this place gets hot early.
  • Great view to watch the sunset is at the top of Gates Pass. Be sure to say after the sunsets 10-15mins to see the pinks and deep reds.
  • Beautiful area for a drive with winding roads with a lot of dips and saguaro cacti. Good hiking in the Tucson mountains. Wasson Peak is my favorite, so far!
  • Great, challenging mountain bike trails. Entirely possible to kill yourself on a crazy ride. My favorite!
