  • A really fantastic mineral shop. Deep selection, particularly for AZ minerals. The prices are also much lower than similar shops I've been to. The proprietors clearly love this stuff. Highly recommend...  more »

  • Best place to find fossils, crystals, human artifacts and just great cool stuff. Once, I bought some polinesian string money from the 1800's. The owners, Rich and Ron, are wonderful, knowledgeable people that make you feel like family. Perfect place for children 2 yrs to 90.
  • What a great place to explore! Owner was so kind and gave us so much time answering our questions and sharing local info. I love having our purchases as momentos of our trip to Tucson.
  • I wish I could give this even more stars. This shop is my favorite place to visit when I come down to Tucson and is ALWAYS the highlight of my trip. Ron and John are two of the nicest, most generous people I have ever met and their prices are always fair, if not on the low side. Yes, there is dust, but they live out in the desert so I don't know what else you could expect coming here. It's not hard to dust off any goodies you get here anyways :) I always spend at least two hours, if not three, here. The store looks small from the outside but is completely packed on the inside with anything you could ever want--minerals, polished, raw, tumbled, and fossils of all kinds. I cannot emphasize enough how great the owners make the experience of this store. I could sit and chat with Ron and John about minerals and fossils all day! They know practically everything about the topic and any question you have, I'm sure they can answer. I could go on and on about this place, but I'll just stop by saying that if you are into minerals and fossils, no matter the drive, the Tucson Mineral and Gem World is a must!
  • Worth a trip! This place was great! So many interesting things to look at, look up, look down, look at every shelf or you might miss something really spectacular. If you love rocks, gems, bones, history or artifacts you need to see this place! The guys that own the place are so funny and kind, if you have a question or want to know more about anything just ask, they seemed to really care about each piece in this shop and knew so much.
  • Wonderful place to stop for those interested in rocks and specimens from all over the world. Glad we stopped to pick up some things to add to my daughter's growing collection. The man who owns it is very nice and very informative.
